XpresSpa Group provides health and wellness services out of 24 US and six international airport locations. Its XpresSpa legacy business operated 43 spas in 21 airports prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the pandemic started, the spas had to be closed. The company pivoted and developed XpresCheck, a business offering rapid COVID-19 testing services, with currently 16 locations in 13 airports, primarily targeting passengers bound for international destinations who require negative COVID tests for entry. XpresCheck has also secured contracts with the CDC to conduct testing and biosurveillance for inbound international passengers.

While the company has started to selectively reopen some of its XpresSpa locations, it is also developing Treat, a new multichannel health and wellness brand. It launched the brand’s website,, as well as the Treat app, in 2021, and opened the first Treat airport location in December 2021 at JFK Airport, Terminal 4, in New York. Treat will expand on the spa and testing services offered by XpresSpa and XpresCheck, and will have an extensive suite of health and wellness goods and services, including testing, vaccines, anxiety care, emergency prescriptions, and vitamin IV therapies, as well as wellness offerings such as fitness, yoga, and guided meditation services.

Scott Milford has been the CEO of XpresSpa Group since January 2022. Mr. Milford is a highly regarded executive with over 30 years of experience at high-profile and diverse organizations. He has served on XpresSpa Group’s leadership team since 2019 as Chief People Officer and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in December 2020.

Before joining the company, Mr. Milford served as VP, People Operations of SoulCycle from January to July 2019. Prior to that, he served as Chief People Officer for Bayada, a $1 billion Home Health Care Company. Previously, Mr. Milford was Senior Vice President-Human Resources for Le Pain Quotidien. His other relevant experiences include senior Human Resource leadership positions at Town Sports International, Starbucks Coffee Company, Universal Music Group, Viacom, and Blockbuster Entertainment.
